A Morse Taper Drill Drift is a tool used to remove Morse taper drills or tooling from the spindle of a machine. Here are the general steps to use a Morse Taper Drill Drift:

  1. Make sure the machine is turned off and the spindle is not rotating.

  2. Insert the Morse Taper Drill Drift into the spindle until it is fully seated.

  3. Strike the end of the drift gently with a soft mallet to loosen the taper of the drill or tooling.

  4. Rotate the drill or tooling slightly to release it from the spindle.

  5. Remove the drill or tooling from the spindle.

  6. Clean the spindle and the Morse Taper Drill Drift before storing them.

It is important to note that different types of Morse tapers require different sizes of Morse Taper Drill Drifts. Make sure you have the correct size and type of drift for your machine and tooling. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and recommended safety precautions when using any machine or tooling.
